Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas Greenville Concert reviews
Frankie Valli was an Excellent Show!
What a show! Loved it! His voice and stamina have not changed at all. My husband and I thought that Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas was in his mid 60's to find out that he's 75! If you've seen Jersey Boys, this is the concert, only with Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas playing himself in the lead. His "boys" as he called them, put on a really fun, enjoyable show. Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas did not disappoint. Even when he sang some songs from his new CD, they were all songs we've heard before (from the 60s) and could sing along to. Sometimes the headliners throw in fillers of songs they like to sing, but few people recognize. So glad we made the trip. What a great time.
Warning they have a new CD
Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas was often on the soundtrack of my life, if you are like me. Sure, everyone knew a Million $ and One Week which they played. Jane, Old Apartment and countless hits. Better than Ezra was better than I remembered and I actually thought about getting some of their new stuff after the show. Very little of the old catalog is played. KT is literally a one woman band, she played both her hits but with a guitar and a drum machine that was used on loop constantly, she looked like she was two-stepping. If this was a $20 show, I would be all for it, but the performance did not justify the $59.50 seats. Just not Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas next time they come through. The zoo is a great place to see a show.
Great Show ZZ Top, Aerosmith
The stage setup was just like old times with all the lights and amps on stage. They also had video screens on stage, and the stuff they were showing on the screen was great. Sound was perfect. After leaving the stage, Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas came back and played Come Together when the crowd goes wild for one more song. I think they could have picked a better tune ONE OF THEIR OWN! The only thing that I was not impressed with was, you'll see that lower when you look at the set list, they Rocked the house and then blaaaa.
Brad Paisley was very very good - over the top
The opening entertainers were actually hit songs with acts, and then Voctave: It Feels Like Christmas was unbelievable. He has to be one of the best showman I have seen in a long time. His songs are very memorable and fun, and the video in the background was terrific and complemented the songs. Best guitar players in the world. The whole event was great entertainment. My seats were placed well but just about everyone that was not directly in front of the stage has some of their view blocked. My seats could have been better but lots of the views from the side of the stage were blocked by the video projectors that hung down from the ceiling. MSG has to do a better job of that next time.
